Kevin and I took the afternoon to pick berries. I love strawberries and there's nothing like picking them yourself (especially when you can eat as you pick!)
We ended up with 6 qts. and I spent the day cleaning, chopping, and freezing most of them. 
But, you have to revel in your accomplishments so some strawberry shortcake was in order.

mmmm strawberries! one of the best things about june. i'm going picking tomorrow which means a day making jam and freezing. woohoo = )
